Fleischmann Boxes - Train sets
The package of each railway model is for a collector as imporant as the model itself. Without a undamaged package, the whole model is less worth. I'm not a collector of the old models, but let's take a look at the history of the Fleischmann packages.

1984 -
In 1984 Fleischmann introduced an annualy train set. These sets are packed in a blue gift box.
There are several boxes; the example on the right has a hinged cover with a window. Other box models are the styropor shaped holder with a blue cover and the one where the styropor holder is shoved in the box.
For the many limited wagon sets Fleischmann uses the red box. This box has a cover which coveres the whole styropor holder.

Fleischmann also uses the cover of the locomotive boxes for limited wagon sets. The 1993 wagon set 91 5214 has a styropor shaped holder.
2000 -
In 2000 Fleischmann delivered a set with two coaches. Each coach was packed in a synthetic cover. Together the two boxes were packed in a cardboard box without a window. Since 2000 more sets were delivered this way.

2011-
Fleischmann introduces the new house style for boxes with train and start sets. The new style is in line with the style for locomotives and rail cars.

Specials:
For promotional purpose Fleischmann introduced in 1999 a special ICE railcar in a wooden box. In 2000 a simular box was used for a railcar for Fa. Bayer.

In all boxes a control card is added. This card hold the number of the Fleischmann employee who checked the box.
